DT4 Pure Iron

DT4 pure iron, also known as electromagnetic pure iron, exhibits excellent toughness and electromagnetic properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Classification Pure Iron

Pure iron is classified based on its application into DT4 pure iron, military pure iron, and raw material pure iron, etc.

Classification Pure Iron

| Grades of DT4 Pure Iron: DT4A, DT4E, and DT4C represent regular, high-grade, special-grade, and super-grade, respectively. The performance of products with the DT4C is the best.

| Grades of Military Pure Iron: The grades are DT8A and DT9, primarily used in various precision instruments and components for cutting-edge national defense technology, including spacecraft.

| Grades of Raw Material Pure Iron: YT1F, YT2F, YT3, YT4, YT0, YT00, YT01, with YT01 representing the highest purity and performance indicators.

Definition of DT4 Pure Iron

Definition of DT4 Pure Iron

DT4 pure iron is a kind of pure iron. It is also referred to as industrial pure iron and is a high-quality steel with the iron content of over 99.5%. This material is primarily used to manufacture electromagnetic components for electrical appliances, telecommunications, and instrumentation, including relays, solenoids, and electromagnetic locks.

Performance of DT4 Pure Iron

Generally, pure iron is particularly soft, exhibits significant toughness, and has excellent electromagnetic properties. Industrial pure iron has a higher melting point than iron, is less prone to rust in humid air, and can be passivated in cold concentrated sulfuric acid.

| High Purity of Steel Quality: The electrical pure iron series is all of tranquil steel and refined, resulting in a dense, uniform, and excellent internal structure, with low gas content. The carbon content in finished products is ≤0.004%, providing reliable conditions that simplify and shorten the annealing process for components.

| Good Cold and Hot Workability: Cold working processes, such as turning, stamping, bending, and drawing, are all feasible. Hot processing, such as re-forging and re-rolling, has low red brittleness sensitivity, and many grades have no red brittleness zone, ensuring processing over a wide temperature range.

Performance of DT4 Pure Iron

| Good Electromagnetic Properties: It has low coercivity, high permeability, high saturation induction, stable magnetism, and no magnetic aging.

| Good Surface Quality: It features excellent welding and electroplating properties.

| High Dimensional Accuracy: Ultra-precision cold-rolled sheets can be provided, such as plate thickness ≤ 0.105mm, with thickness tolerances of ≤ 0.03mm; for plate thickness > 1.5mm, thickness tolerances can be ≤ ±0.05mm.

DT4 Pure Iron & Neodymium Magnets

DT4 pure iron has excellent magnetic permeability. When used in the stator or rotor core of a motor, DT4 pure iron effectively concentrates and guides the magnetic field as current flows through the windings. Neodymium magnets are high-performance permanent magnetic materials with extremely high magnetic energy density.

In a permanent magnet synchronous motor, neodymium magnets serve as the rotor poles, generating a constant magnetic field, while the stator core made of pure iron enhances the induction effect of this magnetic field within the stator windings.

This combination can improve the efficiency of the motor. Due to the low hysteresis loss and high permeability of DT4 pure iron, energy loss during the transfer of the magnetic field is reduced. The strong magnetic field of the neodymium-iron-boron magnets allows the motor to generate significant torque at low currents, thereby reducing energy consumption.

Additionally, it can enhance the power density of the motor. A stronger magnetic field means that higher power output can be achieved within the same volume.

Production Process of DT4 Pure Iron

| Electric Arc Furnace Pure Iron Characteristics: This was the earliest method for producing pure iron, with a minimum carbon content of 0.025% and a high nitrogen content. It cannot produce pure iron with a lower carbon content due to the influence of graphite electrodes.

Production Process of DT4 Pure Iron

| High-Quality Pure Iron from Electric Arc Furnace or Oxygen Converter with External Refining: The carbon content of pure iron is 0.005%, with low phosphorus, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, and non-metallic inclusions, making it the highest quality electrical pure iron currently available.

| Oxygen Converter Pure Iron Characteristics: It can produce low-carbon pure iron with carbon content less than 0.01%, but it has a high oxygen content and lower nitrogen content, only producing average quality electrical pure iron.

Applications of DT4 Pure Iron

| Electromagnetic Relays and Cores: Due to its high magnetic permeability and low magnetic resistance, DT4 pure iron is commonly used to manufacture cores and armatures in electromagnetic relays, ensuring proper current direction and precise control of switches.

| High-Energy Accelerators and Electromagnetic Devices: In high-energy accelerators, DT4 pure iron is used to make bending and focusing magnets, as well as in speakers and solenoids as the core of electromagnets, providing necessary magnetic fields.

Applications of DT4 Pure Iron

| Magnetic Shielding and Shielding Boxes: DT4 pure iron is also used to produce various magnetic shielding covers or boxes, providing effective shielding materials for high-shielding devices to minimize electromagnetic interference.
