Hangzhou Tengye Magnetic Materials Co., Ltd. is a neodymium magnet supplier in China. We are both manufacturer and exporter. Tengye Magnetic manufactures a variety of sintered neodymium magnets according to different shapes.
Sintered neodymium magnets are manufactured by powder metallurgy. They are manufactured by the raw materials such as iron, rare earth alloy, etc. being melted in a strip casting furnace, cast by a roller and rapidly cooled to form NdFeB ingots. These NdFeB ingots are pulverized by hydrogen and jet milled under the protection of nitrogen; the NdFeB powder is then sintered into dense blocks. The blocks are then heat-treated, ,machined to shape, surface coated and magnetized.
After heat treatment, neodymium magnets are ready for machining. The machining process includes cutting, slicing, grinding, chamfering, etc. Depending on customer requirements, NdFeB blocks are machined into different sizes and shapes.
The material composition of neodymium magnets is iron (Fe), which oxidizes easily in the air. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a coating on neodymium magnets because they are prone to corrosion. Two main coating types are metallic coating and organic coating.
